Frontier Quest Update v0.2.0


Thankyou to everyone who played the demo over the past 2 weeks!

We've made a new build of Frontier Quest for you to play, featuring pacing fixes and some new content!
Because the map has been changed old saves will not be compatible with this update. However all of the new content is in the early game, so we hope you'll enjoy redisovering the frontier.

Once you've finished playing we'd love to hear your feedback. It's been very useful in making adjustments, so the more you give us the better!

Frontier Quest [Demo] v0.2.0 - Patch Notes

New Content

  • Revised forest roads to add more visual storytelling
  • Added a new NPC with a new quest to the forest area
  • Added hidden notes to forest roads

Changes

  • Reduced the amount of wood required for Merchant Quest 1 from 10 to 5
  • Reduced the amount of iron required for Blacksmith Quest 2 from 10 to 8
  • Revised the layout of the town
  • Revised the layout of the forest map
  • Changed Questlog buttons to toggles
  • Nodes are now selectable from anywhere on the map (you no longer have to travel to an adjacent node first). Unselectable nodes are faded out
  • Added tooltips for map nodes that show completed encounters
  • Added clickable overrides to all tutorials
  • Adjusted the Claymore's attacks
  • Improved all text objects with a new font
  • Updated button hover effects/highlights

Fixes

  • Reduced speed of tree animations
  • Fixed graphic issues in some forest layouts

Known Issues

  • After interating with the NPC or a note in the forntier the equip menu will become selectable. Opening then closing this menu will cause the UI to disappear until the you return to the map
  • Enchanted Sword is created as a new item insteasd of replacing the original Sword
